Sherfield Village Fete is one of the largest events of its kind in North Hampshire, attended by over 3000 visitors each year. This year’s fête will take place on the village green on Saturday 8th June, starting at 12:30, when once more we aim to present an afternoon of fun for all the family, with the aim of raising funds for good causes. Our featured charities this year are Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, and Solving Kids’ Cancer, and we also regularly support our village hall, parish church, and other local causes.
We’re planning around a “Circus” theme this year, and we’d like our stallholders and visitors to join in.
Our main attractions this year include Japanese drummers, gymnastic displays, circus skills demonstrations, Trigger the Train, the return of Quirk’s Animal Roadshow, Morris dancing and much more, plus all our usual features, like our fun dog show, enthusiasts’ vehicle display, bouncy castles, face painting, and other amusements for children, along with a wide range of stalls, and lots of choices for eating and drinking. As well as the famous Fete BBQ and Tea Tent this year we’ll have a range of hot food choices, fresh salads, ice cream vans and more.
This year we also have a new feature, in which local clubs, groups and businesses can engage with fête visitors. Click here to learn about our Window on Sherfield.
Our full colour programme has been published and distributed to addresses in the village and beyond. If you haven’t received your copy, you can pick one up at one of several distribution points in the area, or you can click here to download a PDF copy (28MB!)
Online booking for stalls is now closed, but you can still enter your vehicle for the collectors’ cars display, and enter your dog in the companion dog show.
As usual, we are always looking for additional volunteers to help us plan and stage this popular annual event. If you’re willing and able to join the team, register using our volunteering sign up form.
